Taking kids to daycare is something that many parents do, and it may be something that you do too, but one thing that no parent wants is their child preferring the daycare over them.

If you’re leaving your baby at daycare for long periods of time then your baby will get used to being at the daycare and will become attached to being at daycare.
This however does not mean that your baby prefers the daycare worker over you, it simply means that the daycare worker is who the child is used to.
In your child’s eyes, the daycare teacher is a wonderful friend who enjoys playing with them all day so it’s understandable why the baby wants to stay with them. It is actually a good thing because it means that the daycare teachers are doing a good job, it’s a sign that the baby likes them

Don’t worry, your baby may love the daycare teacher but no one can replace you as a mom
If you want the baby to think about you during the day, while they’re at daycare, ask the daycare workers to put your baby to bed in a shirt or other item of clothing of yours, this will make the baby think of you.
When you’re with your baby make sure to cuddle with them, kiss them, play with them, tell them you love them, and read books with them at night, this will help strengthen your bond.
Rest assured, this stage of the baby preferring daycare over you is just a phase and it too shall pass.
